With a background in English Literature at LSR College, New Delhi, and Social Communications Media from Sophia Mumbai, Anita spent a few early years in film production and direction, followed by over 18 years in the corporate environs of the travel and tourism Industry in Mumbai and New Delhi.  During this period, she also set up offices for publishing houses in Mumbai and Vishakhapatnam.

Anita turned entrepreneur in 2000 and co-founded Interzign Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and its flagship product – In 2001, she also established Roving Writers, a company aimed at creating and delivering excellence in communication and communication strategy.  In 2006, she co-founded SAITA Consulting Pvt. Ltd. and has worked with numerous small and medium sized companies and organizations across sectors.

Seeking to mainstream gender and create opportunities for women, Anita co-founded Fleximoms (Workflex Solutions Pvt. Ltd.) in 2010. It soon became a large platform for, and community of, women professionals making diverse worklife choices, building workflex readiness, and forging meaningful connects with companies. Anita continues to be actively involved with women and the workplace and has mentored, counselled and trained women, young adults and young professionals as a life coach over the past decade. She assists individuals find direction and balance in life and work decisions, and works with teams to create enabling environments, effective communication and roadmaps. Anita is also an Associate and Consultant with Rahi Foundation, a pioneering feminist organization working with survivors of incest and sexual abuse.

With an umbilical link to communication and writing, Anita moderates writers’ groups like Caferati, conducts workshops, and is  a coveted editorial advisor and communication consultant. Her work as a writer and editor includes conceptualizing, writing and editing across various genres and media, with authors, companies and organizations. As a communication consultant, she works with organizations on strategy, creating house styles and in communication training.  Her personal writing includes  articles for publications, as well as a  work of fiction in progress, and a collection of poetry.

Anita’s interests include communities, social and individual evolution and development, media, the arts and theatre.
